SecondYou pilot program

Caring for someone with memory loss?

Your voice can be there when you can't.

Ten, twenty, thirty calls a day. “Where are you?” “When are you coming home?” “Is everything alright?” You pick up every time, because you love them and because no other voice will do.

SecondYou was built for exactly that.

What SecondYou is

SecondYou is a new AI service that answers your loved one in a voice built from yours. It carries your tone, your words, your knowledge of their life, and the familiar parts of your personality that help them feel safe and reassured.

When you're at work, asleep, or just need an hour, they still hear the voice that calms them.

It answers the tenth call with the same warmth as the first.

You decide what it talks about, how it sounds, and when it's on.

Time back

Work, sleep, sit with your kids, or take a shower without the phone in your hand.

Calmer moments

Your loved one hears a familiar voice when they reach for one.

A real say

Only 20 families take part. We will know you, your loved one, and your situation.

How it works

  1. We connect your phone number. After consent, for some time, SecondYou listens to natural calls you choose to record and uses them to build your voice. Nothing changes for your loved one while that happens.
  2. You approve everything. You hear the voice and sign off on the topics before your loved one hears a word of it.
  3. The first calls happen with you listening along. After that, you tell us what's working and we keep tuning.

What the pilot asks of you

Participation is guided and hands-on, not a five-minute setup. It includes informed consent, onboarding, a period of natural phone calls you choose to record, a detailed conversation about your loved one and their routines, review and approval of the trained voice, initial calls with you listening along, and ongoing feedback.

Every pilot call has a trained human safety monitor from our team on it, live, with supporting AI systems. SecondYou is not an emergency monitoring system, does not continuously monitor your loved one, and does not replace emergency or personal-safety monitoring. A team member remains available throughout the pilot to guide you and help with setup, calls, feedback, and technical problems. During onboarding, we explain how to reach the team.

If we encounter an exception, difficulty, or unusual situation, we may pause or adjust the service while we work with you to resolve it; that can take additional time and participation from you.

Not sure whether this is for you? Apply and our staff will answer your questions and provide more information about the pilot.

Free now. Free for five more years.

No credit card or participation fee is required to apply or take part in the current pilot.

For families enrolled in the pilot, the service is free during the pilot. After the pilot ends, the service stays free to you for five years.

Any feature included in that service that we later charge other families for stays free to you for that period. You helped us build it, so you keep it.

The five-year free-access offer applies as long as the service is commercially available. See the important pilot terms for details.

Every call has a human safety monitor on it

During the pilot, a trained human safety monitor from our team is on every call, live. A team member is also there for you the whole way: setup, questions, technical hiccups, all of it.

SecondYou is not an emergency or safety monitoring service. Keep whatever you use for that today.

Stop any time

Pause or leave whenever you want. No penalty, no explanation needed. If you leave, the voice we built is deleted right away.

Is this a good fit?

Probably yes if:

  • You care for someone with dementia or memory loss who calls or asks for you often.
  • You can spare a little time to approve the voice and listen along on the first calls.
  • You're up for trying something new and telling us straight when something isn't working.

SecondYou is new. This pilot is how we tune it to work really well for families like yours.

Important pilot terms

Experimental pilot and selection

Enrollment in this pilot is offered to caregivers of people with dementia. The caregiver, not the person receiving calls, is the applicant and is responsible for screening, consent, setup, and feedback. This is an experimental product. Some features may be unavailable, may change, or may not function as intended during the pilot. No results are guaranteed. Individuals may meet the criteria, but not be selected. Selection for the pilot program is solely at the discretion of ProxiCare PBC.

Five-year free access for pilot families

For this benefit, enrolled means a family has been accepted into the pilot, completed informed consent and begun onboarding. Enrolled families receive the SecondYou service at no charge during the pilot and for five years after the pilot ends. Features included in that service and offered to paying families remain free to enrolled pilot families during that period. There is no automatic billing. Once a family meets this definition, later pausing or withdrawing from pilot participation does not by itself end eligibility for this five-year free-access offer, as long as the service is commercially available. Withdrawing from the pilot does not create a charge or repayment obligation.

Program and service changes

ProxiCare PBC may cancel, change, modify or end the pilot program at any time. The five-year free-access offer applies as long as the service is commercially available. ProxiCare PBC may change features or discontinue the service for safety, legal, technical, operational or business reasons. If the service is no longer commercially available, ProxiCare PBC is not required to continue operating it solely for pilot families.

General wellness only

This program is a general wellness pilot testing program and is not a clinical trial. It is intended to explore and evaluate the use of the system for general wellness purposes and is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Participation does not guarantee any particular outcome, benefit, improvement, or result. Individual experiences and results may vary. The system and program should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
